Commercial and Overhead Doors Explained

There are several different types of commercial garage doors to choose from. Overhead garage doors are the most common. These doors are lifted via a track or rail until they are horizontal with the ceiling. They can be opened manually, though most will operate via an automatic garage door opener. Fire rated doors are made of durable, stainless steel that can stand up to most fires. Many of these doors are overhead as well. Roll up doors roll up into a single coil when lifted. The beauty of these doors is they can be stored in highly confined areas when space is an issue. Scissor gate gate doors work like a sliding glass door, but instead of glass are made from iron that folds into itself when opened. These doors don’t provide weather protection but are more of a security device.
